Located in the central part of the county, it borders the following townships:
*Portage Township - north
*Allen Township - northeast
*Marion Township - east
*Jackson Township - southeast corner
*Eagle Township - south
*Union Township - southwest corner
*Blanchard Township - west
*Pleasant Township - northwest corner
The city of Findlay, the county seat of Hancock County, occupies much of eastern Liberty Township.
